Raymond, MS – The HER Eco Campus is designed to deliver concrete benefits for Raymond, surrounding residents, and local partners: local jobs and economic mobility across agriculture, clean energy, education, and construction; food access through regenerative farming and culturally relevant local production; education and workforce development through STEM learning, green jobs training, and agricultural credentials; land stewardship and generational wealth pathways that strengthen Black land leadership; health and healing through wellness programming and restorative sanctuary space; and clean energy and water resilience through the HER solar and water-harvesting infrastructure.
The EcoWomanist Institute Southeast (EWISE) invites residents, local leaders, farmers, educators, faith leaders, youth leaders, and advocates to the HER Town Hall on Thursday, May 21, 2026, the public launch of the Hill Eco Renaissance (HER), a woman-led initiative a green agricultural development on 196 acres in rural Mississippi.
The HER site will be developed across interconnected zones including Education & Training, Agriculture & Land Stewardship, Sacred Space & Healing, Enterprise & Economic Development, Workforce & Knowledge Transfer Community, and Renewable Energy & Sustainability. The campus is being built with Raymond; the Town Hall is the first step in a collective planning process where residents help shape the campus and its future.
Central to HER is BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development) EWISE’s 18-month incubator equipping Black women farmers with mentorship, training, and tools to reclaim agricultural legacy and build sustainable land-based enterprises.
